ROV skid assemblies and systems
Macduff Robotics have a range of standard skid system designs that can be adapted to suit any vehicle in the class in which it was designed. Let us know what you need and we will likely have a design that will be close to what is required and that we can adapt for the application required.
Work Class Skids
A range of Work Class ROV skids that can be taylored to suit any work class vehicle. The standard design features a fully welded aluminium frame that is incredibly strong but also extreamly light in water maximising the payload capablity. Typically certified for a 2500kg gross weight and tested for a 24000kg compression load.
Work Class Tooling skid
A work class skid fitted with extendable tooling baskets. The skid provides space for the easy installation of additional equiment and sensors and can easily be adapted for different applications. Additional items such as a dirty work pack, oil reservoir, and valve pack can easily be fitted.
Work Class Fluid skid
A work class skid fitted with two extendable tooling platforms that can be fitted with baskets, along with a 240L/min max output dirty work pack and 12 function valve pack to control the platforms, dirty work pack, and additional tooling. Control and feedback is by an RS232 data link and gives feedback for platform position and dirty work pack pressure output. The system can be expanded to include additional sensors, cameras, and lights.
Work Class ROV FLOT skid
A work class tooling skid fitted with an extendable flying lead orientation tool (FLOT). Fitted with a System feedback over the RS232 data link to the valve pack gives the position reference of the FLOT unit.
Work Class pipeline survey skid
A work class skid fitted with width adjustable sprung castors that can be adjusted to suit a pipeline from 9" diameter to 48" diameter. Also fitted with a retractable CP probe, two inspection arms fitted with PATZ colour cameras and forward facing cameras, and mounting points for a TS440 frame. All functions are controlled by the onboard 12 function valve pack over an RS232 data link.
